Gossip kills the soul

Everyday people get picked on for what they wear and who there friends with. its called Gossip and it really kills the soul. Gossip is so immature yet people use it daily to fell better about them selves. Everyone does it and all it does is hurt the people you say it about and you might not know it but it hurts you too. The Bible says in Matthew 12:36 “ but I tell you men will have to give account on the day of judgement for every careless word they have spoken.” This means that one day when we stand before God we have to give account for the things we say about people. not only that but Christians are not supposed to be judgemental, meaning that we are to accept everybody as they are and not say harsh things about people because they are different. It's wrong to judge and make fun of people, sometimes it can really leave a lasting impact on a person. As reflectors of Christ we should be polite and considerate not only to peoples faces but also when they walk away. It is also our job to stand up for people when there being picked on. Gossip is a disease and everyone has it, listening to it without saying something nice about the person is just as bad as saying something mean. I'll be the first to admit that i Gossip and I'll also admit that it's wrong and it's the main temptation i fight with daily. James 3:6-8 “ The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person… No man can tame the tongue." The tongue is the biggest advocate the devil has against us. watch what you think because it will become what you say. my challenge to you this time is to think about what you say before you say it because what you say reflects who you are and could really hurt someone else. Stop Gossiping it's immature and unneeded and if everyone was the same then life would we so boring. Pray for me and I'll pray for you because gossip is the thing that no one needs.
